Built Around the Kootenay Way Facility

Sun Ridge Environmental was established in 2022 alongside the opening of the corporation’s environmental operation at 1348 Kootenay Way. The facility was developed through 2021 and 2022 to receive and manage soil, water, slurry and other project materials. The division grew from that facility rather than predating it.

Safety, Ownership and Compliance

Sun Ridge Contracting Ltd. first achieved COR certification in 2020. The corporation holds B.C. Licence to Transport Hazardous Waste LT1618 for contaminated soil and maintains regular communication with Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc as a TteS Band Member-owned business.

Our work is built around practical project needs: excavation, cleanup, transportation, receiving and material management. Sun Ridge also provides contaminated-site remediation support and coordinates formal laboratory analysis, legal surveying and other professional services through qualified independent providers when required. The goal is straightforward service without overstating in-house professional capabilities.

Environmental Facility With Field Capability

The Kootenay Way operation combines receiving infrastructure with hydrovac, trucking and heavy-equipment capability. Its 1.6-million-litre containment cell supports qualifying water, slurry and hydrovac material, while field crews provide excavation, cleanup, recovery and transportation services. This lets Sun Ridge support projects from field work through receiving and material management.
